Membership Eligibility
Bluebonnet Credit Union was chartered in January 1935 to provide competitive savings and loan programs to the employees of Gulf Oil Company. Since that time, the Credit Union has grown to be a full-service financial institution, serving a more diversified membership. Today, Bluebonnet Credit Union membership is open to the employees of more than 75 different companies and organizations*. Membership is also available to everyone living, working, attending school, or worshiping in the following communities:

• Zip codes 77007, 77008, 77009, and 77018
• The Houston Enhanced Enterprise Community which includes all of the downtown Houston Business district
• A 10 mile radius around any Bluebonnet branch office

Family members of Bluebonnet members (related by blood, marriage, and adoption) and household members may also join the Credit Union and take advantage of the many great services we offer.

How Do I Join?
All it takes is a deposit of at least $5.00 in a Regular Savings account and a one-time $2.00 membership fee. A $5.00 minimum balance must be maintained in the Regular Savings Account to keep your membership in good standing.

Membership at Bluebonnet allows you---and your family---to take advantage of full-service lifetime credit union convenience---even if you change jobs, move away or retire. And every member of Bluebonnet is an owner of the Credit Union, not merely a customer.
